Abstract


As electricity consumers, the problem we face is that the increase in basic electricity bills will greatly affect the cost of paying electricity bills. The high cost of electricity is also influenced by our lack of awareness or negligence in using electronic equipment every day. As a solution to this problem, a system that can control and unify electricity consumption has a connection, Current, Power, and Energy that can make it easier for users to monitor electronic devices. This study aims to use NodeMCU and Blynk to create an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system that can make it easier for the public to use it because it can be accessed via smartphones. By using PZEM004T as a sensor for monitoring. Then the system is equipped with a control system that uses a relay module to connect to the load. The function of this module is to turn on and off electronic devices that can be controlled by smartphones with the Blynk application. From the design of the monitoring & control system, it is important for the authors to design the system and simulate it first, considering that the tools made have a high level of risk of use. By simulating the tool beforehand, you can minimize risks such as component damage, risk of electric shock, and short circuit. Setting up and configuring the tool can also help reduce the aforementioned risks as it minimizes cable usage and makes components more systematic
