Abstract


Liquid Hand Wash is a health product that has been widely used by the community because the main function of soap itself is to remove dirt that sticks to the skin. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, he is being intensively spreading the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, one of his campaigns is about the call to always wash your hands when going out or when you come home from an activity. With the increasing need for hand soap at this time, it is necessary to design a unit to make soap independently, so that later it can reduce the costs of the surrounding community for spending to buy liquid hand washing soap at home. The hand washing liquid soap unit will have the main ingredients of palm oil and KOH as the alkali. This mixer machine will use an agitator turbine as a stirrer where the turbine has a radial and axial flow pattern making it easier to mix materials, as well as designing a mixer unit with a buffle in the tank. For production capacity planning, it is necessary to calculate the required power and calculate the capacity of the production machine where the power from the motor is transmitted with a V - Belt between the drive pulley and the motor.
